How does Colief Milkaid work?
Lactose intolerance occurs when your small intestine doesn’t produce enough of the enzyme lactase, which digests milk sugar into glucose and galactose. For lactase deficient people, the lactose in food moves into the colon instead of being absorbed. There, normal bacteria interact with undigested lactose, which causes the symptoms of lactose intolerance. Colief Milkaid helps ameliorate these symptoms by topping up the user’s lactase levels, allowing them to better digest milk and dairy foods.
