OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66®

OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® promotes relaxation and a sense of balance due to the mechanisms of its primary ingredients:

• Ashwagandha root 10:1 extract - OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® contains 1,000mg of KSM-66® Ashwagandha, a highly concentrated 10:1 extract derived from the root of the Withania somnifera species of shrub to ensure maximum potency. Ashwagandha root extract is an adaptogen that has been studied and extensively used in traditional Ayurvedic practices for its ability to alleviate anxiety and promote relaxation.
• Piperine from 60:1 black pepper extract - Piperine, the primary alkaloid in Piper longum (black pepper), helps inhibit certain gut and liver enzymes that break down ashwagandha before it can be fully absorbed by the body. OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® contains 10mg of concentrated piperine to enhance the bioavailability of the ashwagandha root extract in this supplement.

• Stress alleviation - Studies have shown that ashwagandha can help regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, a key part of the body's stress response system. This can help lower blood cortisol levels caused by stress and promote feelings of relaxation.
• Balanced mood - Ashwagandha is a natural adaptogen, which means it can help the body adapt to stress more effectively, reducing the emotional impact of stressors. This mechanism subsequently contributes to a balanced mood.
• Improved energy levels - Ashwagandha has been found to help increase stamina by reducing the time it takes for an individual to reach exhaustion after intense exercise by up to 14%. Ashwagandha has also been shown to increase the body’s maximum oxygen utilisation while exercising (VO2 max) by up to 8%.
• Healthy cellular function - Ashwagandha contributes to the production of antioxidant enzymes such as catalase and heme oxygenase-1, which support cell health by neutralising harmful molecules called free radicals that can damage cells.

The recommended intake of OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® is one capsule per day.

While there is no recommended maximum intake for ashwagandha root extract or piperine, it is not necessary to take more than one capsule per day, as each capsule contains the optimal amount of each ingredient for most individuals.

The time taken to experience the positive effects of OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® varies from person to person, depending on:

• Existing stress levels - Individuals who already have high daily stress levels may experience faster and/or more noticeable improvements in mood from taking OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66®, due to the way the ashwagandha root in this supplement affects GABA-A receptors in the nervous system. Conversely, individuals who are not as stressed are likely to experience subtler and slower improvements in mood, as their baseline anxiety is likely to be lower.
• Magnesium or vitamin B6 deficiency - Magnesium is crucial for nerve transmission and stress response regulation, while Vitamin B6 is essential for producing neurotransmitters such as serotonin which influence mood. Deficiencies in magnesium or Vitamin B6 may delay the desired effects of OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66®, as adequate levels of these nutrients are necessary for managing stress responses and synthesising neurotransmitters, thereby affecting the efficacy of adaptogens like ashwagandha.
• Lifestyle - The time it takes for an individual to benefit from taking Ashwagandha KSM-66® can depend on sleep quality and physical activity. Individuals who get adequate sleep and engage in regular physical activity are likely to experience the benefits of OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® sooner, as both sleep and exercise play key roles in regulating the body’s stress responses, which are supported by this supplement.

OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® is suitable for use by most individuals, including vegetarians and vegans. Individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication should consult a doctor before taking OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66®.

Do not take this product if you are currently being treated with a CDK4/6 inhibitor - including palbociclib, ribociclib, or abemaciclib for cancer treatment. Ashwagandha may affect the enzyme responsible for metabolising these medicines, which could reduce their effectiveness. Always speak to your oncologist or prescribing doctor before adding any supplements to your routine while undergoing cancer treatment.

• OneVit Magnesium - OneVit Magnesium helps calm nervous system activity, while OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® helps alleviate stress and anxiety. Therefore, taking these supplements together can support a sense of physical and mental well-being.
• OneVit B Complex - The B vitamins in OneVit B Complex, particularly vitamins B6 and B12, contribute to the production of neurotransmitters, such as dopamine and serotonin. This complements the positive effects OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® can have on mood.
• OneVit Vitamin D3 and K2 - Vitamin D plays a crucial role in the production of neurotransmitters, including serotonin, which affects mood and emotions. Therefore, taking OneVit Vitamin D3 and K2 alongside OneVit Ashwagandha KSM-66® can help improve mood.
